The offer from the masterclass — in writing

Get your portfolio website built for you. Just tell us which pictures. We do everything else.

The SlickPic team designs and builds your online portfolio, puts it on your own domain, and looks after it from there. Live in forty-eight business hours. You never have to open an editor.

Since 2010 · photographers only Live in 48 business hours Changes later · no extra charge

We help every kind of photographer, right up to world-renowned names like Scott Kelby, Rick Sammon, Deb Sandidge, Serge Ramelli and Lindsay Adler — and many, many more.

Here’s how people explain this to others:

“Why? I’ve taken tons of pictures over the years. They’re good, and they deserve a proper portfolio — not a folder on a hard drive. SlickPic builds the site and looks after it. I pick the photos. That’s my whole job. In just a few days it’s live. Something I’d be proud to show anyone. Under a thousand dollars. Anything I want changed later, they just do it — no extra charge. Scott Kelby and Lindsay Adler could have picked anyone. They picked SlickPic. That’s good enough for me. And if I’m wrong, sixty days, money back. This is the last mile. It’s what all those pictures were for.”

Send this page to whoever you’ll talk it over with. It says the same thing to them.

Two ways to have it built. Both start with our team designing your portfolio — the difference is who keeps it current afterwards.

"I haven't met many bad photographers. I've watched plenty of good photographs go nowhere."
Kevin La Rue Your host on the masterclass

What you just saw

The two sides

One side is capturing the image. The other is doing it justice in how you present it.

Cameras. Lenses. Tripods. Workshops. Travel. Tens of thousands of photographs. Years of craft you've already built — the really, really difficult one.

The other side is the place. The way your work is hung where strangers can actually find it. Most photographers have skipped this one entirely — not because they're lazy, but because it isn't their craft.

Why more gear won't fix it

No amount of new gear fixes that. Another camera body, another lens — none of it puts your photographs on a screen at the size and quality they were taken at.

That's the gap. The one that has quietly kept your best work from reaching anyone who might have valued it.

The photographs were never the weak part.

Why the site never got built

If you were going to build the site yourself, you would have done it already.

You just haven’t got to it. Your time and talent belong behind the camera, not behind a screen wrestling with a website that won’t behave.

The usual routes

Three ways photographers try to get the work seen.

Route 01

Build it yourself.

The template is only the beginning. Then come structure, type, image sequence, domain settings, search, and maintenance. The website becomes another craft to learn.

Route 02

Hire a general web designer.

They understand websites. You still have to teach them photography, direct every decision, and return whenever the work or the technology changes — and pay again each time.

Route 03

Leave it on social media.

Fast to post. Built to move on. Your photographs compete with everything around them, and the next post replaces the last one.

Each bar shows where that route actually leaves you.

There is another way…

The Bespoke Living Portfolio

You don't take any of those three.

You choose the photographs. A team of photographer-designers builds the site around them, with your approval, and keeps it current. No template to learn, nobody to teach photography to, and nothing that scrolls away.

What this is

Your photographs. A portfolio website built to hold them.

Our team designs your portfolio around your work, launches it within 48 business hours after you send us your photos, and maintains it for you as your work evolves.

Built on templates made for photography and nothing else — so each photograph is shown at the size and quality it was taken at, with nothing else in the room.

You approve. We handle everything else.

You never have to touch a website editor, a drag-and-drop tool, or a line of code.

A room of its own

Your photograph has seconds to make an impact. Give it the room to.

No feed. No dinner plate. No friend's dog. One photograph, shown at full quality, in a place built to hold it — where a person can see all of it, and stay.

The pictures do not change. The presentation does.

You would be in good company

We have built sites for photographers since 2010 — some who have been at it for years, some who started recently.

Real people, real photography · Since 2010

A website can host your photographs. It can’t answer your email.

When something needs to change — a new group of photographs, a style adjustment, or a question — you email a real person who knows photography. Usually, you hear back within a few hours. Always within 24.

Nobody here expects you to keep up with the technology. It changes constantly, it is somebody else's job to follow it, and asking to be walked through something is normal here rather than an imposition — it is what most of our email is about, and we would rather have it that way.

The software matters. The people who stay with the work matter more.

Helping photographers · Since 2010

Sixteen years building for photographers, and nobody else.

Portfolio presentation, including our Bespoke Living Portfolio, is just one part of what SlickPic does. Built by photographers, for photographers, SlickPic grew from our frustration with clunky photo platforms.

In 2010, we set out to create something better — one place to keep, present and share images securely, with powerful features made for photographers.

Before you decide

Who this is built for.

Built for you if

  • You've spent years, and tens of thousands of dollars, on gear— and your work online still doesn't reflect it.
  • You've tried building it yourselfand it's half-finished — or you never started.
  • You're tired of showing your best work on a small phone screen— and getting a polite “that's nice.”
  • You are taken seriously in everything else you do— and you would like the photographs to be met the same way, by people who know good work when they see it.
  • You want to be found— by editors, agencies, and people who don't yet know your work exists.
  • You have thousands of photographs on hard drives, lost on Instagram, or hidden in your camera roll— and almost nobody has seen them.
  • You want a person who will walk you through it, as many times as it takes— not a chatbot, not a help article, not a forum thread where strangers argue about it.

Not for you if

  • You would rather put the money toward another lens. That is a fair choice, and most photographers make it. It is also the choice that has left the work where it is.
  • You want the cheapest site you can get. There are $8-a-month options and they will publish your photographs. Nobody at those prices is designing anything around them.
  • You need it live tomorrow morning. The build takes 48 business hours, and it starts after your onboarding session, not at checkout. If you are working to a date, email us before you order — we can often find a way to meet it.
  • You want a promise about who will see the work and what will come of it.Nobody can honestly sell you that.

If two or more of the “not for you” lines describe you, don't buy this. Genuinely. It won't fit.

60 days

Sixty days with your finished portfolio — and every penny back if you don't want it.

The site is live inside 48 business hours. That leaves you nearly two months to live with it before you decide anything.

Put the photographs up. Send the link to the people whose opinion you actually care about. Watch what comes back.

If you're not happy — the build, the design, the maintenance, the support, any reason at all — email us inside sixty days and every penny comes back. Not a credit. Not a partial. No questions. No hoops. No retention specialist. You are risking an email.

You are not deciding whether this is right. You are deciding whether it's worth sixty days to find out.

One year from now

The photographs will be better.

You'll still be shooting. Still improving. The only open question is whether anyone will have seen them by then, or whether they will be on a drive with the rest.

You wait

Next year looks like last year.

Still telling people you're working on updating your website. The people who should have found your work — didn't. The ones who clicked through and went looking for a portfolio closed the tab.

Your work is better than ever. It's still sitting where nobody sees it.

Questions

Photographers actually ask

Using your portfolio

I'm not tech-savvy at all. Will I be able to use this?

That's exactly why we exist. You don't build anything. You don't configure anything. You don't touch code, hosting panels, or DNS settings. Our team handles every technical detail. You approve the design and go back to shooting.

What if I already have a website?

We can work with your existing domain or set up a new one. Many of our members had websites for years before switching to SlickPic.

Terms and protection

What happens when the countdown reaches zero?

There are two clocks at the top of this page, and they are not the same date. The replay comes down on Monday. The SEO Hive comes out on Thursday, at the end of the seventh day after the masterclass. Only the Thursday one changes what is in the offer.

Nothing else changes. The Bespoke Living Portfolio and the private 1:1 consultation stay exactly as they are, at the same price. Nothing disappears and no price goes up — and whatever you pay is the price you keep.

So if you arrive after a deadline has passed, you have missed an extra, not the offer. A designed, built, hosted and maintained portfolio for $959.40 in the first year and $599.40 after it is worth ordering on its own. Before you decide, ask what a custom photography website costs to have built and looked after elsewhere — a year of design, hosting, unlimited changes and support. The column further up this page is our arithmetic on that, and we would rather you checked it against the market than took our word for it.

Can I cancel? What happens to my photos?

You can cancel anytime — we will not renew your account when the prepaid period ends. Your photographs are always yours; we never claim ownership. If you cancel, we'll help you export everything you need.

One thing worth saying plainly: our data centre bills us for downloads, so exporting an unusually large number of images can carry a charge for the export. In practice it has never come up — we have yet to see a portfolio big enough for it to matter.

What happens to the account if I am no longer here?

Let us know who is allowed to look after the account, and we will work with them. The web address stays registered to you, the photographs stay exactly as they are, and the person you name can keep it running or take a full copy of everything.

Will SlickPic use my images to train AI?

Absolutely not. Your images are yours. Period. We will never use your photographs to train AI models, and we actively restrict third parties from doing so either. We've been protecting photographers' work since 2010.

Will the price go up later?

We don’t change pricing for existing clients. We never have. We have people who signed up in 2010 and still pay the same price today.

What does the yearly price cover?

Hosting, maintenance, and changes. When your work evolves, send new images and we update the site — it costs nothing extra, and there is no hourly rate. If you reach a point where you no longer need updates, you can move to hosting only — $20 a month, paid annually.

Selling and alternatives

How do I sell prints or digital downloads?

Visitors browse your galleries, choose the images they want, and buy prints or digital downloads straight from your site. Setting that up is work we do for you, and there are two levels of it.

The standard store. What most photographers use, and enough for most: your galleries priced and ready to take orders, with the whole setup done for you. The standard store is $150, added to your site whenever you want it.

The premium store. A larger build, laid out and configured by hand around how you want the work presented and priced. It takes considerably more of our time, so it is quoted separately. Tell us what you have in mind and we will price it for you.

I already pay for SmugMug, Zenfolio or Squarespace. What happens to that?

Keep it running until your new site is live and you have seen it. Nothing needs to be cancelled first, and nothing needs to be moved by you — send us the link to what you have now and we will bring the photographs across.

If you use your own domain there, we point it at the new site so the address people already have still works. Once you are happy, cancel the other account whenever its renewal comes around. Most members overlap the two for a few weeks, and that is the sensible way to do it.

How is SlickPic different from Squarespace, Wix, or WordPress?

Those are general-purpose builders — they serve restaurants, yoga studios, and everyone in between. They don't have designers who specialise in photography. They don't maintain your site after launch. And they're not built around what photographers actually need: work displayed at full quality, secure hosting and sharing, and a platform designed from the ground up for photography. SlickPic is. It's all we've done for 16 years.

SlickPic Bespoke · Living Portfolio

Taking the picture is half the work. Showing it properly is the other half.

None of it costs you the part that was always yours. You bought the camera. You went out in the dark. You decided which pictures lived and which ones were deleted, and you have been deciding that all along. You still decide. What you hand over is only the half you were never meant to carry alone.
